Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) is a light emollient and is odorless and colorless.

-Ideally suited for use in the making soaps, creams, massage oils, and ointments, the fractionated coconut oil is very stable, resistant to oxidation, and remains liquid even at low temperatures without solidifying due to temperature changes.

-Provides excellent moisturization and absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling, while serving as an ideal carrier oil for essential oils.

Fractionated coconut oil can indeed be used in handmade soap, but its properties differ from regular cold‑pressed coconut oil. After fractionation, most of the long‑chain fatty acids are removed, leaving mainly medium‑chain fatty acids. As a result, soaps made with fractionated coconut oil have lower hardness and less lathering power. It is therefore rarely used as the primary oil in soap making, but rather as a supplementary ingredient to enhance moisturization and softness.
