How to use essential oils

1. What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy essential oils can connect the body, hair and skin, physical and psychological needs, as well as life and interpersonal relationships. Aromatherapy essential oils are widely used, and the most common ones are beauty and skin care, aromatherapy, massage, bathing, steaming, etc...

2. What are essential oils?
Essential oils are mostly taken from the seeds, peels, roots, petals and other parts of plants. The most common method of extracting essential oils is distillation. No matter what method is used to extract essential oils, the concentration of the extracted essential oils is very high. Except for tea tree and lavender, it is suitable for a small amount use direct on the skin, most pure essential oils need to be diluted before use on the face or body. The easiest way is to mix with carrier oil/base cream/alcohol for dilution.

3. The recommended dilution ratio of essential oils for facial skin care or body massage:

The recommended dilution ratio for general use on the face:
Children (3-6 years old): 30g carrier oil/cream + 1 drop of essential oil (0.2% - 0.5%)
Children (6-12 years old): 30g carrier oil/cream + 1-2 drops of essential oil (0.5% +-)
Adult (12 years or above): 10g carrier oil/cream + 1 - 2 drops of essential oil (0.5% - 1%)

Recommended dilution ratio for general use on the body:
Children (3-6 years old): 20g carrier oil/cream + 1 drop of essential oil (0.2% - 0.5%)
Children (6-12 years old): 20g carrier oil/cream + 1-2 drops of essential oil (0.5% - 1%)
Adult (12 years or above): 10g carrier oil/cream + 2 - 4 drops of essential oil (1% - 2%)

4. How to use other essential oils:
A) Steam inhalation method:
Add 1-3 drops of pure essential oil into a washbasin filled with hot water, lower your face to about 20cm from the washbasin with a towel, and breathe deeply for a few minutes. You can also drop 1-3 drops of essential oil directly into a handkerchief/tissue, put the handkerchief close to your nose, and breathe deeply the aroma of the essential oil every few minutes.

B) Indoor Fragrance:
Add a few drops of pure essential oils to a diffuser for indoor diffuser.
Add a few drops of pure essential oil to dried flowers for a fresh scent.
Add a few drops of pure essential oils to a hot plate of water for fragrance.

C) Room Fragrance Mist:
Mix pure essential oils with alcohol to dilute with distilled water and place in a spray bottle. Reference formula: 25ml 96% ethanol + a total of 40 drops of essential oil, after mixing + 75ml distilled water

D) Bath method:
Add 3-5 drops of pure essential oil mixed with solubiliser into the warm water in the bathtub, stir evenly, when the fragrance begins to emit, it can be soaked.
You can add 1-3 drops of pure essential oil mixed oil solvent to a small basin of warm water, and soak your hands or feet in it alone.
You can also mix 2% essential oil with carrier oil and bath salt, pour it into the bathtub, stir until even, and then soak.

5. Essential oil contraindications:
Pure essential oils are for external use only, not for consumption.
When doing aromatherapy by yourself, you must be cautious. You must first understand the characteristics of each essential oil, and then find out the aromatherapy that suits you. Pay special attention to certain essential oils that are not suitable for high blood pressure, low blood pressure, menstruation or pregnancy, long-term Illness or epilepsy etc....
Citrus essential oils extracted in pressed form contain different degrees of photosensitivity. Do not expose to the sun immediately after using on the skin, which may cause skin darkening or irritation.

6. Preservation method of essential oil:
Store in a cool and dry place, avoid high temperature and sunlight.
Please keep this product out of the reach of children.
Essential oils are flammable, keep away from sources of ignition.
